Privacy Policy
Effective October 3, 2026
Tab (“Tab”, “we”, “us”) runs the Tab app and tabvalley.com, a marketplace where people book local event vendors. This policy explains what we collect, why, who we share it with, and the choices you have. Questions: support@tabvalley.com.
The short version
We collect what's needed to run bookings: your account details, what you book, and the messages you send. We never see or store your card number. We don't sell your information or use it for advertising. You can delete your account in the app at any time.
What we collect
Your account
- Name and email address. If you use Sign in with Apple, we receive the name and email Apple shares with us — which may be a private “Hide My Email” address.
- Your password is handled by our sign-in provider and stored only in protected, scrambled form.
- Settings you choose, such as language, notifications and two-step sign-in.
Bookings
- What you request: the vendor, date, time, event type, guest count, the items and extras you pick, the price quoted, and the agreements or waivers you accept.
- The event address and ZIP code, your phone number, and any note you add for the vendor.
- The booking's history: requested, accepted, declined, cancelled, completed.
Messages and reviews
- Messages you send to a vendor or client through Tab.
- Reviews you post after a completed booking, and a vendor's public reply.
If you run a business on Tab
- Your listing: business name, description, city, prices, catalog, photos, logo, travel area, cancellation terms, agreements and social links.
- Your calendar and booking requests.
- Payouts: identity, tax (SSN or EIN) and bank details are entered directly with our payment processor, Stripe — not with Tab. We only receive Stripe's account ID and whether your account is verified.
- Your Tab for Business subscription status (trial, active, cancelled, ended), from Apple through our subscription service.
Payments
- Card details are entered with Stripe (or Apple Pay) and stay with Stripe. Tab never sees or stores your full card number. We keep Stripe's reference IDs and the amount, date and status of each hold, charge and refund.
Your device
- A notification token, so we can send the alerts you've turned on, and your device language.
- If you turn on Face ID sign-in, your sign-in details are saved only in your phone's secure keychain; we store a scrambled code that lets your phone vouch for you.
- Basic technical records our providers keep to run and protect the service, such as IP address and app version.
Tab doesn't use your phone's GPS location. Distances are worked out from the ZIP code or city you enter. We don't use advertising trackers or third-party analytics in the app.
How we use it
- To run bookings: show vendors and prices, send requests, check cards, collect deposits and balances when they're due, pay vendors, and issue refunds.
- To keep you informed: booking updates, messages, reminders and sign-in codes.
- To keep accounts and payments safe and to prevent fraud and abuse.
- To provide support and to meet legal, tax and accounting obligations.
Who can see it
- The other side of your booking. When you send a request, the vendor sees your name, phone, email, event address, what you picked, and your note. Clients see the vendor's listing and contact details for bookings they've made.
- Everyone, for reviews. Reviews are public and show your first name and last initial.
- Service providers that run parts of Tab for us, only for that purpose:
- Supabase — database, sign-in and file storage
- Stripe — card payments, Apple Pay, vendor payouts and tax reporting
- Apple — Sign in with Apple, Apple Pay, App Store subscriptions and notifications
- RevenueCat — keeps track of Tab for Business subscriptions
- Expo — delivers app notifications
- Resend — sends our emails
- Cloudflare — hosts tabvalley.com
- When the law requires it, or to protect people's safety, or Tab's rights in a dispute.
- If Tab changes hands (for example, a merger), your information would move with the service and this policy would still apply.
We do not sell your personal information, and we don't share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.
How long we keep it
- Your account information is kept while your account is open.
- When you delete your account, we delete your profile, your business listing and photos, and your devices. Bookings, messages and reviews stay for the other person in them, with your name removed (reviews show “Former Tab user”).
- Stripe and Apple keep payment and subscription records for as long as the law requires them to.
Your choices
- Delete your account in the app: Settings → Security → Delete account.
- Edit your name, listing and settings in the app at any time.
- Notifications can be turned off in Settings in the app or on your phone.
- Cancel a Tab for Business subscription in your Apple account's subscription settings.
California residents
If you live in California, you have the right to know what personal information we collect and how we use it, to ask for a copy of it, to have it corrected or deleted, and not to be treated differently for using these rights. We don't sell or share personal information for advertising, and we don't use sensitive information for anything beyond running Tab. To make a request, email support@tabvalley.com from the email on your account, or use Delete account in the app. You can have an authorized agent contact us for you; we may need to confirm your identity first.
Children
Tab is for adults. You must be 18 or older to create an account. We don't knowingly collect information from children under 13; if you believe a child has given us information, contact us and we'll delete it.
Security
We use encrypted connections, scrambled passwords, optional two-step sign-in, and database rules that limit each person to their own information. No system is perfectly secure, so please use a strong password and keep your devices locked.
This website
tabvalley.com doesn't use cookies or analytics. Its fonts load from Google Fonts, which receives your IP address to deliver them.
Changes
If we change this policy, we'll update the date above. If a change is significant, we'll tell you in the app before it takes effect.
